We’re excited to share the incredible wines of Château de Lavernette, a family-run estate nestled on the border of Beaujolais and Burgundy. Edouard and Xavier, the father-and-son team behind Lavernette, bring passion and expertise to their winemaking. This week, we shine a heartfelt spotlight on Domaine du Pavillon de Chavannes, a winery deeply intertwined with family legacy and love for the land. Nestled on the breathtaking slopes of Mont Brouilly, this winery has long been under the tender care of Paul Jambon, a man who has lived and breathed the vineyards since childhood. Paul’s stories stretch far beyond wine—he recalls moments of both war and peace, growth and renewal, all while nurturing the vines that would become some of the region’s most revered wines.

But this is also a story of passing the torch. In 2018, Paul’s daughter Laure returned from a professional life in Paris to take the reins of the domaine. With immense dedication, she committed to two years of enology and viticulture, working side by side with her father, learning, and preserving the family’s winemaking traditions. Their bond, reflected in each bottle, is the lifeblood of Pavillon de Chavannes—a legacy of passion and tradition that continues to bloom with every harvest.
